State Bank of India (SBI) has published notification to conduct online examination for recruitment of Probationary Officers. This PO exam is tentatively scheduled in July – August 2019. SBI PO 2019 Online Application

The application for SBI PO Exam 2019 has to be done online. To avoid any technical errors please make sure that the web-browser used to fill up the SBI PO 2019 Application form is one of the following:

• Internet Explorer 8 and above

• Mozilla FireFox 3.0 and above

• Google Chrome 3.0 and above

Candidates applying online must have the following pre-requisites:

• A valid Email Id

• Photograph and Signature scanned in the prescribed size

• Application Fee must be paid online so all document required for online transaction

SBI PO Application Fee

The category wise fee structure for SBI PO online application is given below. Fee/Intimation charges once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. The application fee must be paid online itself. SBI PO 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must fulfill the following two criteria to be eligible for the SBI PO Exam 2019:

• Age Limit: The candidate must be 21 Years to 30 Years as on 01.04.2019 i.e. candidates must have been born between 02.04.1989 and 01.04.1998 (both dates inclusive)

• Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.07.2019. Candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2019. Candidates with Chartered Accountant certification may also apply.

SBI PO 2019 Recruitment Process

The SBI PO recruitment exam is the most premier among the public-sector bank exams in India. It is considered a little difficult compared to the bank entrance exams conducted by IBPS. The recruitment process for Probationary Officers at SBI consists of 3 stages:

1. Preliminary Examination

2. Main Examination

3. GD/Interview

The total number vacancies for SBI PO 2019 has been released with its official notification. IBPS has introduced 7275 vacancies for SBI PO 2019-19 Recruitment. As per the SBI PO 2017 Official Notification’ there were 7883 vacancies in total.

SBI PO Exam Centre

While filling the online application form, applicants are required to enter their preferred exam centres for SBI PO 2019, based on their convenience. However, the Bank may allot an exam centre other than the choices made by a candidate if there is non-availability of seats at preferred venues

SBI PO Exam Pattern

The selection of Probationary Officers will be done through a three-tiered process:

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have 3 Sections (with separate timings of 20 minutes for each section)
Phase – II: Main Examination: Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online
 
Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks.
 Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

SBI PO 2019 Syllabus

The major three sections of the preliminary examination are Reasoning, English Language and Numerical Ability. Each of these sections has multiple subheadings to focus on when preparing for SBI PO CWE.

The syllabus for Numerical Ability / Quantitative Aptitude and English Language is same for mains and preliminary exam. In addition to these two the other subjects are General / Financial Awareness and Reasoning & Computer Knowledge. The General Awareness is based on the Banking Sector awareness.

SBI PO Pre-Exam Training

Bank may arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates at certain centres as per the guidelines issued by Government of India. Candidates belonging to the above categories can avail the training at their own cost by indicating the same against relevant column while applying on-line. The Bank may add additional centres or may remove some of the centres indicated for training. Candidates opting for pre-examination training should download their call letter for training by entering their registration number and password/ date of birth from Bank’s website. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent by post.

SBI PO 2019 Admit Card & Call Letter

Candidates must download the SBI PO 2019 admit card from the official website of the bank as the hard copy of the SBI PO Admit Card will not be sent to the candidate via post. To login on the official website, the candidates will require the following:

• Date of Birth/ Password

SBI PO 2019 Results

IBPS will declare the results after completion of each phase of examination. The final state wise merit list and category wise merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the marks secured by candidates in their online mains examination. Candidates who fall in the prescribed merit list will then be considered for appointment for the post of clerk in Banks.

 1)When is the SBI PO Admit Card expected to be out?

SBI PO 2019 Preliminary Admit card was released on 17th May 2019 which the main admit card will be released on by 2nd week of July 2019.

2) When is the SBI PO Exam to be conducted?

SBI PO 2019 Preliminary exam is scheduled on 8th and 9th June 2019 while the mains exam is scheduled on 20th July 2019.

3)Is the SBI PO Exam Bilingual?

Except the Descriptive Test for English Language, all the other tests are bilingual, i.e. available in both English and Hindi

4)Is there Negative Marking in SBI PO Exam?

Yes, there is negative marking for wrong answer in the objective tests of both Preliminary and Mains Exam of SBI PO 2019. One fourth of the total marks allotted for that question will be deducted for marking a wrong answer.
